At least 900 evacuated at Moscow medical center due to bomb threat

About 900 people were evacuated from the Izmailovsky Consultation and Diagnostic Center (CDC) of the N.I. National Medical and Surgical Center. Pirogov due to an explosion threat, according to the Russian agency TASS.

The center’s director, Oleg Karpov, confirmed to RIA Novosti that the evacuation had taken place. “An evacuation has been carried out, patients and staff have been moved to a safe distance. Agents with dogs and special services are working,” Karpov said.

According to him, 700 people were evacuated from the building and there are no patients left in the center. Victims of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall are being treated in another building.

According to the news website Msk1.ru, the center received a letter with information about the explosion. Four backpacks with explosives were allegedly hidden on several floors of the center.
