The Local Police of Santa Coloma de Gramanet (Barcelonès Nord) has arrested a person as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of robbery with violence and intimidation after trying to carry out a robbery at the Banc Sabadell bank branch located on Rambla de San Sebastià and that he was frustrated by the quick action of the Local Police agents. The robber used a blank pistol to threaten the employees.
The events occurred around 6:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon when a person alerted 092 that a robbery was taking place at this bank branch. Once the police officers were mobilized after the warning, the agents quickly appeared at the Banc Sabadell branch where they were able to verify that the assailant was inside the office intimidating the office workers.
After the rapid police intervention, the alleged assailant gave up his intentions, kneeling before the police presence, stating at that moment that he had escaped from prison and that he had a search and arrest warrant, being immediately arrested for the crime of robbery with violence and intimidation.
