Arrested the alleged perpetrator of running over four people at the exit of a nightclub in Jerez

Agents of the National Police have arrested a 43-year-old man in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz) as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of serious injuries and against road safety, being the alleged person responsible for the intentional run-over of four people that occurred on April 23 at the doors of a nightclub in the Polígono Bertola.

The detainee allegedly intentionally invaded the road just in front of the nightclub exit, with the clear intention of running over as many people as possible after previously arguing with one of the victims, the National Police said in a statement.

The events occurred around 6:00 a.m., coinciding with a large number of people leaving the premises to return to their homes. It was then that the driver of a vehicle intentionally ran over several people.

Among the injured was a person who moments before had had a fight with the driver, who, according to the Police, would have returned to the area with the clear intention of running over as many people as possible as “revenge” or compensation for the events suffered. minutes before.

The most seriously injured man was run over by the car on his left side, causing fractured ankle bones, broken nose bones, deltoid ligaments and dislocated left arm. The young man was immediately lying on the public road shocked and unable to move.

The second person affected to a greater extent was a young woman who was close to being fully run over by the detainee, however her partner managed to push her away enough at the last moment. Even so, she suffered the impact on one of her legs causing polycontusions and bruises of a certain entity.

The other two people affected, also women, suffered minor blows.
