Agents of the National Police have arrested a 35-year-old man of Argentine origin in the province of Valencia for sexual assault and possession of child pornography.
The investigation began after a complaint from the child’s mother. According to police sources, the detainee lived with the mother and the victim in the house where they shared rooms and was able to take advantage of this condition to gain the minor’s trust.
As a result of the complaint, agents of the National Police carried out a home search in which computer equipment and other digital storage devices were intervened. Pedophile material was found in them, which is why the suspect was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of sexual assault and possession of child pornography.
When viewing the digital material, a large number of videos and photographs were found where the detainee was observed engaging in sexual conduct with the minor, as well as various material of the same nature that had been downloaded from a restricted access website within the “Dark Web”.
The detainee was brought before the courts, being released with charges and being warned of the obligation to appear before the Judicial Authority during the process. As a precautionary measure, his passport was withdrawn to prevent him from leaving the national territory.
The same sources from the National Police remind users of any social network that sharing this type of multimedia content can be a crime. In the case of finding images of child pornography, it is recommended to report it through the email address denuncias.pornografia.infantil@policia.es
