The Municipal Police of Madrid have arrested a man for entering a unit of the Corps in the district of Villa de Vallecas with a knife and threatening the officers with attacking them if they did not attend to his demands, after which he has been reduced.

The events occurred around 11:00 a.m. this Tuesday when the arrested person entered the offices located at the back of the building carrying a knife to protest about the responses received to a series of complaints that he had filed, police sources have informed EFE. .

The man, in a threatening attitude, asked if he had to “kill a police officer” so that they would pay attention to him, after which he was pointed at and subsequently subdued by an agent who was in the premises.

The altercation ended with no injuries and, sources point out, it is ruled out that it had a terrorist motivation, since apparently the man had more intention of showing his discontent than attacking any of the people present.

After learning about the event, the general secretary of the Madrid Municipal Police Union (UPM) union, Jaime Johnson, has demanded that they fix the security doors of the Villa de Vallecas, Usera, Arganzuela and Moratalaz units, which have been broken for years. .

These demands have been repeatedly conveyed to the General Directorate of Police and these events have been reported to the health and safety committee, without receiving a response, Johnson added.

These entrances, which are the ones that protect the security perimeter of the police stations, are usually guarded by agents who do not carry firearms, which, added to the poor condition of the doors, increases insecurity for police officers and citizens, it has been stated. the UPM prevention delegate, Julián García.
