The Civil Guard is investigating the driver of a car detained after driving in the opposite direction for 70 kilometers on the A-92, from Guadix (Granada) to the province of Almería, and who also gave a positive breathalyzer test tripling the legal rate allowed .
As reported by this armed body, this is a 62-year-old man accused of reckless driving and another of driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages.
The events date back to 02:00 in the morning of this past Sunday, when the driver joined the A-92 motorway from Guadix, in the opposite direction, driving through the lanes in the direction of Seville but in the direction of Almería.
The Civil Guard established a device on the aforementioned highway to stop the offending vehicle and, above all, to prevent it from endangering other road users.
A patrol positioned itself to intercept the tourist, but the driver ignored it and continued the march, for which reason the aforementioned patrol was forced to follow it in parallel through the ascending lanes, while giving it acoustic and light signals throughout the way. Finally, they managed to arrest him already in the province of Almería.
