A 39-year-old woman was arrested this morning after being caught trying to steal from inside a car that was parked on Menéndez Pelayo street in Santander.
The events occurred this Saturday at around 6:50 a.m. when the owner of the vehicle –an active agent of the State Security Forces and Corps– observed as he approached his car that there was a man and a woman standing next to it.
Later, he saw how the man punched the left rear window, fracturing it, and the woman introduced her body into the vehicle “with the clear intention of stealing the belongings” that the owner kept inside, reported in a statement from the local police.
When the man who had knocked on the window saw the owner of the car running towards the vehicle, “he quickly left the place, managing to flee.
However, the owner of the car managed to detain the woman until the arrival of the Local Police officers, who brought legal proceedings against her for an alleged crime of robbery with force.
