Antonia dell’Atte returns. And again, with the emblem of being Giorgio Armani’s greatest muse: this is attested to by the exhibition dedicated to the work of photographer Aldo Fallai, commissioned by the designer at the Armani / Silos museum in Milan. Forty years later, the Italian master has once again chosen Antonia’s face as his image and her face invades the streets of the Piedmontese capital. Thus, her return to television could not come better: Dell’Atte is a member of the jury for the talent Dancing with the Stars, which has just started on Telecinco. A change of direction in the network’s entertainment that he is proud to be a part of.

“I return to television and Telecinco because there is finally a new editorial line, thanks to its new CEO, who has decided to remove garbage from its programming and focus on quality.” He estimates the model has been claimed for three main reasons: “I think I have credibility, dignity and also – I say this with great humility – that I am a person who has worked hard and who has learned to do television well. And right now Telecinco needs credibility: they have opted for that line and I am very happy. I never sought success or to be famous at any cost. If you ask me what I want in this life, I answer work and health, essence and not appearance.”

Antonia points out that she has been called countless times to participate on television sets but has preferred to stay out of it: “Silence is part of a person’s intimacy and with silence you can heal your soul. If you have barely seen me on TV it is because I have not wanted to be part of something in which I have never recognized myself: trash TV. I come from fashion and entertainment, a world that has nothing to do with all that. I think I am known in Spain because I have always fought for the dignity of women, that is why I am alien to that type of television and press that I have denounced and described as a sewer. It is a type of junk communication that distorts and manipulates by selling lies that pass off as truth. “They make it all up!”

That is why she has not answered the calls that summoned her to the set. She wanted to get away from her. “I have never sold my private life, it is different to tell what I have suffered, more than 33 years of injustice, but I think I am the only model in the world who has not commercialized her intimate life. When I have spoken in a medium it has only been to tell my truth, never to talk about others. And as soon as I saw that they were dragging me where I didn’t want to go, I got out of there. I asked God for forgiveness and He told me “Get away, divine justice will come.”

Antonia believes that little by little she is beginning to reap the fruits of her prudence. “When I went to court, a judge agreed with me and reestablished the truth. I was the first to report abuse and they know this, they knew it and kept silent! Now the same pseudojournalists call me to apologize and tell me that they could not speak, when they have been complicit in a diabolical plan that wanted to destroy me and my work. Now you have the opportunity to correct yourselves and repent, not before me but before God. I have forgiven them. After María Teresa Campos died, someone came to me to tell me that she wanted to ask for my forgiveness. She is forgiven. Look, even my colleague Boris Izaguirre has apologized for the trap caused by the Blood Ties program.”

Finally, Antonia differentiates the trash press she refers to from the tabloid press: “The heart is entertainment, lightness, without bad intentions. Interviews where nice things are told, you show your house, how you live… I’m talking about the mud machine that goes to the guts, that blackmails. I hope a generation returns that rescues the heart that was done before, a change is needed.”
