In 2005, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt met while filming Mr.
It all started after a violent argument between Maddox, the eldest son, who was then 15 years old, and Brad Pitt, who was apparently drinking too much on his private plane while flying from New York to Los Angeles. Jolie accused the actor of having beaten her son, but he was acquitted.
In these 7 years of confrontations, neither Brad Pitt nor Angelina Jolie have wanted to talk about the breakup and the subsequent divorce process. But now Jolie has given an interview for the November issue of American Vogue. The actress has justified her silence: “I’ve been feeling a little depressed lately. In some ways, I don’t feel like I’ve been myself for 10 years, but I’d rather not talk about it.”
He assures that the emotional well-being of his children has been his priority throughout this time: “I started working less in film 7 years ago, only accepting jobs that did not require long shoots. “We had a lot to heal.” And he adds: “We are still working on it.” In these years she has only participated in the sequel to Maleficent, Eternals and Those who wish me dead.
Winner of an Oscar, among other recognitions, she confesses that being a mother is her best reward because motherhood has helped her overcome the most difficult moments: “I was 26 years old when I became a mother. My entire life changed. Having children saved me and taught me to be in this world differently.” The actress and her ex-husband are parents to Maddox (22), Pax (19), Zahara (18), Shiloh (17) and twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline (15).
The six children have also now become her great support after separating from Brad Pitt: “Recently, I thought I would have sunk down a much darker path if I had not wanted to live for them. They are better than me, because you want your children to be better. Of course, I’m the mother, and I hope it’s a safe place for them and gives them stability. But they also laugh at me.”
Now the actress, director and UNHCR ambassador has announced in the fashion magazine the launch of Atelier Jolie, which consists of a creative workshop and a clothing line. But in this new project Angelina is not alone but has the collaboration of her children. “I think he’s been therapeutic for me. He allows you to work in a creative space with people you trust and rediscover yourself.” She clarifies that with the launch of her clothing line she is not looking to become a fashion designer, but rather to “build a house so that other people can become that.”
Angelina is excited about the fact that her children have an important role in this project: “I think it’s funny that we are involved in fashion, I don’t think any of us are too ‘trendy’.” She also states that she has always given them freedom to choose their clothing: “I don’t tell children how to dress. Even when they were little, I would just put things in front of them.”
