The Andalusian Medical Union (SMA) will maintain the third day of strike of primary care doctors in the community scheduled for tomorrow despite “having approached positions” with the Ministry of Health in the meeting held on Tuesday with representatives of the Andalusian Health Service Health (SAS) to address their claims.

The president of the SMA, Rafael Carrasco, has indicated that the meeting held with the Andalusian administration has served to “closer positions” on some pending issues but there are other points in which the distance “is still considerable”, which is why the mobilizations continue planned.

He has affirmed that the union awaits a new proposal from the Ministry and that when they know and analyze it, they will make the decisions that are necessary because at this moment there are some “obstacles that are insurmountable” that they hope will be resolved in future meetings.

The strike day on Wednesday will take place again between 8:00 and 20:00 and will include a rally in front of the Health and Consumption Delegation of Malaga.

The planned calendar will last until May 24, with concentrations on May 3 in Seville and on the 10th of the same month in Granada.
