There is little more than a month left for the start of the next television season and the different communication groups are already finalizing the details of what will be their big bets from the month of September. Mediaset continues to lead in new content, coinciding with the remodeling of the Telecinco grid and the jump of Ana Rosa Quintana to the afternoons to replace Sálvame.
The end of the program produced by La fabrica de tele has caused a significant flight of faces linked to Mediaset, who have mainly gone to the channels of the rival group, Atresmedia (Antena 3 and La Sexta). However, movements are also taking place in reverse: according to what La Vanguardia has been able to learn exclusively, the journalist Manu Marlasca, specialized in investigative cases, leaves La Sexta after 11 years and signs for TardeAR, Quintana’s new program on Telecinco.
Marlasca is mainly known for his appearances on Más vale tarde, the evening program of the second Atresmedia network, of which he has been a part since its premiere in 2012. The communicator came to the group from the closed magazine Interviú, where he was deputy to the director, and has combined his work on the program with that of head of investigation for La Sexta Noticias.
In his new program, the presenter of Expediente Marlasca will continue to be in charge of the investigation department and will appear on the screen in the information related to these events. Mediaset thus seeks a coup against Better Late, which is in full growth in audiences compared to its summer competitor, Así es la vida.
The new Telecinco programs continue to form their teams with a view to starting their journey with the start of the 2023-2024 season. Ana Rosa’s program and Ya es mediodía will give way to two new shows also produced by Unicorn Content, La mirada crítica and Vamos a ver.
The first of them, led by Ana Terradillos, will focus on current affairs and politics, while the second, presented by Joaquín Prat, will have a much more casual and social tone. In the latter, Alfonso Egea will continue as a journalist specialized in investigation, as well as in Cuatro al día, whose presenter in the next season is still unknown.
