Ana Rosa Quintana is still immersed in her fight with Sonsoles Ónega to try to become the ‘queen of the afternoons’. Her program TardeAR came to Telecinco with the premise of becoming the leader of its segment and recovering the numbers that Sálvame was generating. However, and much to her chagrin, six months after the premiere, the presenter has to see how And now Sonsoles has managed to take the throne from her.

Even so, the communicator remains at the forefront and is very proud of the space she has managed to carve over the weeks. And she has also managed to win over a part of the public, who remains loyal to her favorite presenter. Part of this is also due to her collaborators, with whom she sometimes has more than one disagreement. And the last one was with Xavier Sardà for Quintana’s opinion about Barcelona.

One of the topics that Ana Rosa Quintana wanted to address this week has been the heritage of rich people and the place in Spain where they are located. According to the magazine, “their fortunes grew by 23%” during the year 2023. And not only that, but Madrid is the first city in the world in which they choose to live and establish their assets. “If they bring money to Madrid, we are not going to object,” the presenter began.

As she continued, as a Madrid native she is “filled with pride” by this type of news. And it was right after when the controversy broke out. “They don’t pay taxes here because they don’t generate jobs here. But we want them here so that jobs can be created in restaurants, in stores, so that they can consume… What do we want? For the perroflutas to come like before? Let it happen to us like to Barcelona and the perroflautas come,” he added.

Given this, Xavier Sardà, who has always been known for defending the city where he was born, could not contain his desire to refute these arguments. “In any case, allow me: to use Barcelona as an example of what is fatal is not fair either,” he said.

After ensuring that Barcelona “is wonderful”, Ana Rosa Quintana continued that it could “be the best city in Spain” due to its location. However, she is clear that “the last governments in Barcelona have been degrading the city, that’s how it is.”

But far from ceasing his arguments, Sardà continued defending his city at all costs. Among other things, he wanted to make it clear that “all the tourism that comes to Spain also ends up in Barcelona.” An opinion defended by many users on social networks, who call the journalist’s opinion “shameful.”

Even so, many others have sided with Quintana, especially with the last statement he made at the end of this intense debate: “I love Barcelona, ??but the Colau Government degraded the city a lot. It is resurfacing, yes, but the phenomenon of Madrid is there.”
