An 82-year-old woman died tonight in an apartment in Inca, in the center of Mallorca, after a fire broke out in the house, while two other elderly women were slightly injured and were treated at the scene.

The fire occurred this Thursday around 11:30 p.m., when the emergency services were notified by black smoke coming from the first floor of a house located on Joan Baptista de la Salle street in the Mallorcan town, the Fire Service reported. Urgent Medical Care (SAMU 061).

The Mallorca Fire Department went to the home, as well as a basic life support ambulance and an advanced life support ambulance from SAMU 061 and several police officers. Once they entered the burned home, firefighters found the lifeless body of the 82-year-old woman.

Two other women, aged 80 and 82, were also located, who suffered minor injuries and were treated by health services at the scene, without requiring their transfer to a hospital.
