Supreme Court judge Susana Polo has agreed that Dignity and Justice, an association of victims of terrorism, will lead the popular accusation in the case against former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont for terrorism.

For this case, Vox, the Catalan Civil Society, the Dignity and Justice Association and an individual, Francisco Velasco Pedraza, requested his appearance as a popular accusation.

The magistrate summoned all the parties last Tuesday to listen to them and to agree to decide who should assume leadership of the popular action in order to expedite the procedure.

But given the lack of agreement between them, the judge has issued an order, to which EFE has had access, in which she explains that it must be “the objective criterion of priority in the appearance before this court that imposes the preference.”

And in this case, it is up to Dignity and Justice, which appeared first, on February 6, therefore, the popular accusations will intervene in the proceedings under the same direction and representation that this victims’ association will exercise.
