The Fira d’Espà rrecs de Gavà , held last weekend, has once again been massive. As reported by the town council in a statement, 35,955 people have visited the agricultural exhibition of the event.
On the other hand, adds the Consistory, the gastronomic venue of the fair offered almost 24,000 tastings, which means an increase of 45% compared to last year.
The Asparagus Fair has already been held 68 times and is quite a tradition in the Baix Llobregat region. “The weekend has been round”, said the mayor, Gemma Badia.
Badia has highlighted the “persistence of agriculture in keeping tradition alive and making the fair the best x-ray of the countryside, a sector that we must take care of and to which the City Council will always support for its modernization and survival”.
