Ana Obregón has unwittingly caused an earthquake in Spain. The actress and presenter has become a mother again at the age of 68 through surrogacy, something that is illegal in our country. Since the magazine ¡HOLA! launched the news exclusively, there has been intense debate in all spheres of society about the birth of little Ana, something that very few people around Obregón knew.

Who did know about the presenter’s intention was Alessandro Lequio, her ex-partner and father of Aless Lequio, who died in 2020 from cancer. The Telecinco collaborator, who has recently been annoyed at not having known all the details of the process, has not wanted to enter into any debate despite acknowledging that he supported Obregón in this decision.

The Italian’s position in all this controversy is clear. He is not going to comment on the subject because he has already spoken in the past: “We have spoken and expressed our opinion on various occasions. I have expressed my opinion and spoken on various occasions.”

And, as Socialité has recalled, Lequio does have an opinion on surrogacy. Judging by his recent words, it does not seem that much has changed since 2011, when he did openly express himself about the paternity of Miguel Bosé through this method.

At that time, the Italian came to wonder if the mothers who rented out their wombs were “mere incubators of children.” And on the set of El Programa de Ana Rosa, coming to directly confront the rest of his colleagues, he was very vehement with his opinion: “I see hypocrisy that the same people who applaud surrogate mothers are later scandalized when a mother sells his son, for me the two things are the same: giving up your son for money”.

Years later, in 2017, when it became known that Cristiano Ronaldo had also resorted to this method to be a father again, Lequio was also very critical of surrogate mothers: “I understand that a father does the impossible, but he does not understand a mother who sells a child”.
