Carmen Borrego is one of the great disappointments of Survivors 2024. The little girl from Las Campos has not adapted to life in Honduras and the shadow of abandonment hangs over her. In fact, she has been involved in several crises in which she has threatened to take her backpack and go to Spain.
Despite having a succulent incentive of approximately 17,000 euros per week to participate in the reality show, Terelu Campos’ sister is showing signs of regret since the beginning of her adventure. The harsh realities of the contest, such as the lack of food and basic amenities, have deeply affected Borrego, who appears to be doing the bare minimum to fulfill his contract.
This very defeatist attitude has caused his attitude to be criticized in the different Telecinco programs. Even Alejandra Rubio, his niece and one of his greatest defenders, has had to give in to reality and admit that her aunt is not doing well. “I’m not going to justify this. I know that it costs her more than the others, that’s how it is. What happens is that she could try a little more,” said the influencer in Fiesta.
Rubio wanted to qualify his words by ensuring that his comment is not a criticism in itself of Borrego, but rather a call for attention so that he does not give up in the face of the difficulties of the program, which are the same for all the contestants. “She is giving everything and he is putting up with a lot,” she commented.
The adventure in Honduras is being very complicated for Borrego. His main problem is the lack of energy due to not being able to eat anything: “We don’t have a fire. I have already refused because I don’t feel well and I think it’s from the coconut and the raw rice. Yesterday I didn’t eat anything all day.” . With this scenario, she can only lie down waiting to feel better.
Kike Calleja, one of her great supporters on the island, has regretted seeing her so collapsed: “She is devastated, she just vomited again. I see her super weak.” The rest of the colleagues are also very worried about this situation, especially because the television collaborator shows no signs of being able to overcome: “I have the anguish of my life. How overwhelming! I can’t. Fatal.”
