The Ministry of Agriculture, Ramaderia and Fisheries of the Valencian Generalitat has deleted today at dawn a message on Twitter published on Wednesday in which a Valencian full of misspellings was used, which do not respect the official standards established by the Valencian Academy of Language, AVL, and to which all public administrations are obliged to respect.
The message on Twitter gave details about a meeting between Minister José Luis Aguirre, from Vox, with those responsible for the public company Tragsa to address the status of pending works. However, although in the message in Spanish no misspelling is observed, in its version in Valencian up to five mistakes are observed.
The tweet in Spanish was correct and said that the minister “analyzes with Grupo Tragsa the execution of ongoing projects.” However, in Valencian it was said that the minister “analyzes in the Grup Tragsa the execution of projects underway”. That is, with five fouls according to the statutory regulations.
A fact that goes against the Statute of Autonomy of the Valencian Community, which in its article 41 obliges all Valencian public administrations to respect the language regulations established by the Valencian Academy of the Language, something that does not occur in this publication.
The message went viral on social networks and in the end, Aguirre’s department ended up deleting the publication. However, there is still a tweet published in the official Agriculture account, also from this Wednesday, in which misspellings are observed.
