Actor David Gail, remembered for his role in the unforgettable Beverly Hills, 90210. Feeling of Living and his performance as Dr. Joe Scanlon in Port Charles, the famous sequel to General Hospital; He has died at the age of 58.
His death was announced last Saturday by his sister, Katie Colmenares, who shared a message through Instagram in which she confirmed her death, although she did not reveal the causes of it.
“There has barely been a day in my life when you were not with me, by my side, always my partner, always my best friend, ready to face anything and anyone with me,” Colmenares writes on the social network. “I will hold you very tightly. Every day in my heart, beautiful, loving, incredible, fierce human being, I miss you every second of every day, forever, there will never be another.”
Gail was considered one of the most prolific actors on American television in the mid-to-late 1990s. His most important role was in the fictional General Hospital sequel series, Port Charles, in which he played the famous Dr. Joe Scanlon -one of the suitors of the popular doctor Karen Wexler in fiction- in no less than 216 episodes.
The actor, however, was noticed at the beginning of his career in another successful series: Beverly Hills, 90210. Sensación de vivir. The interpreter played Stuart Carson, son of a rich businessman and fiancé of Brenda Walsh (Shannen Doherty) for eight episodes. The wedding did not take place, and Gail left fiction, leaving Brenda free to do so.
“David was a kind human being. Someone I wish I had talked to more. He was full of life and incredible stories. I am grateful to have known him. I am so saddened by his loss and the loss of the world. He was a gift to all of us,” she writes Peter Ferreiro, manager of the Podcast: Beverly Hills 90210 Show.
Gail also appeared in 22 episodes of the television show Robin’s Hoods in 1994 and 1995 as the character Eddie Bartlett, and in 34 episodes of the series Savannah in 1996 and 1997 as Dean Collins.
