“Vox has, not only the right, but the duty to appear in Galicia because what Vox defends, only Vox defends.” The president of the far-right party, Santiago Abascal, defended this Sunday from Pontevedra, at the Hotel Galicia, before an event of his party in the pre-campaign of the elections to be held on February 18 in that community, the right to attend to the polls in the face of criticism from the PP and its president, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who tries to concentrate all the votes of the right and the extreme right and sees Abascal’s formation as an obstacle to his purpose.
“Vox is the only party in Spain that other parties tell it does not have to appear. And Vox not only has the right, it also has the obligation to appear because what Vox defends is only defended by Vox, and it is defending it alone both nationally and in Galicia,” said Abascal, who has also accused the PP of being “accommodated” in an absolute majority in Galicia and dedicating themselves to applying “the policies of the left” in “gender, climate, historical memory and linguistic imposition” policies.
In the opinion of the leader of the extreme right, the State is “in the middle of a blow to the Constitution” and, in this regard, he has regretted that the formation led by the Galician Alberto Núñez Feijóo “comes to the aid” of President Pedro Sánchez “ Every two for three”.
Regarding the polls that give him a seat in the Galician Parliament, the Vox leader did not want to comment because, as he said, they are always skeptical in relation to the polls. “But the truth is that, until now, an anomaly has occurred and that is that Vox is present in all the regional parliaments of Spain and also in the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla. Furthermore, he has managed to enter the Basque Parliament, Navarra and Catalonia, where it was much more difficult. We have not yet achieved it in Galicia, but we are going to continue trying until the bagpipes sound,” he assured.
