A 17-year-old girl is admitted to the Hospital Clínico de Málaga after falling from a second floor in Torremolinos (Málaga) while fleeing from her ex-partner, a 21-year-old man who allegedly attacked her with an axe, as reported to EFE police sources.

The events took place in the residential area of ??El Pinillo around 3:00 p.m., at which time the 112 Andalucía Emergency services received the notice and immediately activated the health care protocol and alerted the Local Police and the National Police, according to 112.

Apparently the victim, who has wounds and bruises but whose life is not in danger, would have jumped from the balcony of a house on Vicente Blanch Picot street and an awning would have cushioned the fall, hospital sources have reported.

After what happened, the man, who tried to harm himself before being arrested, tried to flee the scene and ran in the direction of the A 7 motorway, but he has already been arrested and taken to hospital alive, where he remains under custody, according to police.

The alleged perpetrator of the events had a restraining order for the victim, which, apparently, would not have prevented him from approaching the young woman.

Sources close to the investigation indicate that everything points to an episode of gender violence.
