The Zaratán Sports Club (Valladolid) sports a black ribbon in its logo as a sign of mourning for the death of a cadet from the entity after feeling unwell while training. The deceased, 15 years old and a resident of the town, was participating in a training session with his team, Zaratán Cadet B, on Wednesday afternoon, when he began to feel unwell and let his trainers know.

Initially, the minor was treated by the assistant coach and the goalkeeping coach, Manuel Gallego, in the belief that it was a mere indisposition, although given the dizziness he was suffering, help was requested from the Soccer 7 coordinator, Juan José Fernández. , who was nearby, and in the end, around 8:55 p.m., it was decided to transport him in a private van to the local Health Center, where he would die shortly after.

“We thought it could be a digestion problem or a drop in sugar, but when he started touching his sternum and telling us that he felt tingling in his hands, we decided to take him running to the health center,” he explained, speaking to Europa Press, Juan José Fernández, who has shown his dismay at the tragic news and has conveyed his regret and concern to the minor’s family and friends.

The deceased was a resident of the town, he had played for Cuadrón when he was very young and had later played for C.D. Laguna and this same year he had joined C.D. Zaratán and played for Cadet B. Given what happened, the entity has agreed to suspend training for all its teams until Monday and the games it was going to play this weekend.
