A 50-year-old woman is being investigated by the Civil Guard for having falsified her son’s report card so that he could apply for a scholarship that would allow him to pursue university studies in the United States.

This woman, a resident of Sanxenxo (Pontevedra), is being investigated as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of document falsification, as reported by the armed institute.

The investigation was based on a complaint filed by a teacher at a secondary school, after verifying that his signature had been forged on the report card of a student, who had completed the second year of high school at his school.

The review of the report card was carried out when the center received a request for a report from an American university, since said document was not valid as it was not signed by the director of the center.

It was then that investigators verified that the woman had falsified her son’s report card, in order to present him for a scholarship and admission to a university in the United States.

The proceedings against her have been delivered to the Cambados guard court, where the person under investigation must go when summoned by the judicial authority.
