A woman arrested in France after finding two dead babies in her freezer

French police have arrested a 41-year-old woman after finding two dead babies in the freezer of her home, in Bédoin, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, at the foot of the mythical Mont Ventoux cycling port.

“The facts are of a criminal nature, the investigation is already underway,” the prosecutor of the neighboring town of Carpentras, Hèlene Mourgues, reported this Friday. The case has been uncovered after a call from a third person and the suspected woman – in police custody since Thursday morning – has already undergone psychological and psychiatric examinations.

Although few details are known, it has emerged that the arrested woman is 41 years old and would have acted alone. The prosecutor has refused to give more details about the exact age, sex or relationship of the two babies with the detainee.

Yes, it has been specified that the autopsies of the two corpses will be carried out this coming Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Nimes to determine “the causes of death.”
