The Municipal Police of Madrid have arrested a couple in the Tetuán district for the alleged continued mistreatment and abandonment of their children, who have been transferred to a juvenile center for their protection.
As sources of the investigation have pointed out to Europa Press, guardian agents of the district appeared at the school attended by one of the four children of the couple, eight years old, after he had confessed to his tutor that he was a habitual victim of mistreatment and that he wanted to end his own life to put an end to this situation.
The police officers evidenced the situation of strong anxiety and nerves in which the minor was found, who did not stop crying and showed his fear that his mother would find out. Once the agents managed to reassure him, he admitted that both he and one of his eleven-year-old brothers were being abused by their mother and his stepfather.
Likewise, he recognized that many days they did not have breakfast or dinner, which alerted the guardian agents to the possibility that a situation of abandonment was also taking place.
SAMUR physicians, including a psychologist, appeared at the college, corroborating the anxiety picture presented by the minor and the coherence of his version, before which an urgent protection order was issued for both him and his other three siblings. the eldest of whom was picked up from the institute where he studies and the other two, smaller, from the nursery.
All of them have been transferred to a center for minors for their care, while both the 29-year-old mother and the 33-year-old stepfather have been arrested for this continued mistreatment, which would go back three years in time, according to the same sources.
