A teacher has been fired for alleged misconduct and abuse of power with respect to ten students, aged between 6 and 7 years, whom he allegedly subjected to touching when he taught physical education and remedial classes at an educational center in Malaga.
The teacher, according to the investigations and complaints from family members, to which EFE has had access, performed massages and alleged touching of the minors, justifying that it was a “game.”
It was a mother concerned about the situation who went to the center, which immediately began the investigation. This first complaint from the woman was joined by other parents who warned of the same thing.
Some of the affected parents have thanked the immediate intervention of the school, which belongs to the Santa María de la Victoria Diocesan Education Foundation, which activated the corresponding protocol and cautiously removed the teacher from contact with the children until the facts were clarified. They also hired a forensic psychologist to determine the degree of credibility of the facts.
The specialist’s report warned that the degree of credibility of the interview with the children was very high, very credible, so the school summoned the teacher to give him the opportunity to make allegations. It was then determined that a disciplinary dismissal had to be carried out, but not before being informed in the presence of his lawyer.
The teacher, married and with three children, has denied the facts, but after the case was uncovered, another child spoke with his mother and also said that he was allegedly a victim of said facts, so the mother filed a complaint with the Police to to be criminally investigated.
The educational center also has all the documentary information prepared by the legal services to present to the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office.
The parents were called by the center to give them all the explanations with complete transparency, according to the documentary provided to EFE, and the parents have appreciated the urgency in solving the matter and preventing the events from getting worse.
