He gave them some substance to nullify their state of consciousness and then sexually assaulted them and recorded their attacks. Now, a month after one of his partners reported the discovery of these images and videos on a hard drive that he found in his home, the man, a 34-year-old priest, has been arrested in Vélez-Málaga and admitted, provisional, in prison.
At the moment, the individual is accused of committing four sexual assaults and five crimes against privacy. The victims were part of his circle of friends.
The researchers analyzing the material have managed to identify five women, all of them were not aware of having been attacked, although they do not rule out that the number increases since the attacks were committed over several years and in different locations, such as Melilla, Córdoba or Malaga.
It was in the month of August when one of these women, who claimed to be a romantic partner of the man, as indicated in the statement from the National Police, reported the events to the Family and Care Unit for Women (UFAM) in Melilla. She suspected that the sexual relations that had been recorded were not consensual, so she made a copy of the hard drive and handed it over as evidence. In this memory several victims appeared half-naked, asleep or under the effects of some sedative and to whom a man performed all types of sexual practices.
The agents found out that the sexual assaults had been carried out continuously in different years and locations, on the occasion of trips by groups of friends, among whom was the arrested person. This would have supplied the victims with some type of substance that annulled their state of consciousness to perpetrate their misdeeds.
The man was ordained a priest in 2017, he was a parish priest in a church in Melilla and at the beginning of the year he was assigned to the Diocese of Malaga.
It was in this Malaga municipality where the Police launched a device around his home to carry out his arrest, according to Sur. Once the agents managed to arrest him, they searched his house and found various technological material that is being analyzed.
