The municipalities affected are Badalona, ??Barcelona, ??L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Sant Adrià de Besòs, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Castelldefels, Cornellà de Llobregat, Gavà, Martorell, Molins de Rei, Esplugues de Llobregat, El Papiol, Pallejà, El Prat de Llobregat, Sant Andreu de la Barca, Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Sant Joan Despí, Sant Just Desvern, Sant Vicenç dels Horts and Viladecans.
The alert has also been activated in Badia del Vallès, Barberà del Vallès, Castellbisbal, Cerdanyola del Vallès, Montcada i Reixac, Ripollet, Rubí, Sabadell, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Sant Quirze del Vallès, Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, Terrassa, Granollers, la Llagosta, Martorelles, Mollet del Vallès, Montmeló, Montornès del Vallès, Parets del Vallès and Sant Fost de Campsentelles.
The preventive warning “is the phase prior to the possibility of an environmental episode, without it necessarily having to occur, and is activated to reduce emissions of pollutants”, that is, the particles that are emitted due to human activities, which are added to those existing in the atmosphere for natural reasons.
The Generalitat recommends that citizens travel on foot or by bicycle, choosing streets that are not frequented by traffic; prioritize public transportation; reduce trips by private vehicle (if possible, telework) and use car sharing.
It also encourages efficient driving (without roughness); If you have different vehicles, use the one with the lowest emissions, and regulate the air conditioning of homes and establishments.
