The dirt and objects seized from the misery market, where illegal sellers gather, accumulates in the Urban Police offices. The SIP-FEPOL union denounces that the police cells are being used as storage for objects seized in the different police operations with the manteros.
The municipal government, for its part, recognizes that this is a temporary solution until they can enable a location to store these products. According to the same sources, since these are reported seizures, the evidence cannot be destroyed until a legally established time passes.
The Guàrdia Urbana agents have sent their complaints to the union about having to leave the seized objects in the cells and other instances of the Guàrdia Urbana offices. Places that are not intended for this task and that can cause a risk to the health of the agents and detainees who pass through the pre-trial detention center.
From the union section they have sent a formal complaint to the Security Councilor asking that another place be found to deposit the objects seized in the different operations carried out in the city.
