An off-duty Benidorm local police officer saved a child just under 2 years old this Friday night who had choked on a candy during the Three Wise Men parade.
This situation occurred this Friday at 7:30 p.m. on Ruzafa Street near Pasaje Rioja, the local police spokesperson, Quique Tortosa, informed EFE, and when the agent, Luisma Roselló, acted, the little boy was already cyanotic. that is, with bluish skin due to lack of oxygen in the blood.
The minor was visiting Benidorm for tourism with his relatives and his father was trying to take the candy out of his mouth, contrary to what the protocols establish, before which the off-duty agent began to act and successfully applied the maneuver of Heimlich, causing the child to expel the candy.
