The nearly one thousand candidates who took the exam this morning to opt for one of the 12 Physiotherapy places offered by the Murcian Health Service have seen their hopes cut short when the test has been canceled due to a printing error: the first question was repeated 115 times.

Sources from the Murcian Health Service (SMS) have reported that the General Directorate of Human Resources has made the decision to suspend the exam corresponding to the non-specialist health diploma, Physiotherapy option, due to an error in the printing of the exams after detecting, at the time of opening the sealed boxes that contained the envelopes with the exams, that they had not been printed correctly.

These selective tests corresponded to the Public Employment Offers corresponding to the years 2019, 2020, 2021 and that of the Temporary Employment Stabilization Plan 2021.

According to sources from the Murcian Health Service, this is the first time that an incident of this type has occurred in an exam and in the coming days a new call will be made.

The Nursing Union, SATSE, demands responsibilities after suspending today the exam of the OPE of Physiotherapy of the Murcian Health Service (SMS), to which nearly 800 people had attended, many of them displaced from other Autonomous Communities, even from other countries.

“Everything seemed normal, after the nine in the morning call at the Faculty of Economics of Murcia, shortly after, the opponents realized, as soon as the exam opened, that the first question was repeated 115 times. Once it was verified that it passed in all exams and classrooms, the exam has been cancelled,” they explain from Satse.

The Court has explained that this is a possible printing error, that those who came from abroad can claim the expenses by providing hotel and transportation invoices, and a letter to the General Directorate of Human Resources.

Likewise, they have communicated that next week they will publish, on the Murcia Salud page, the new date, trying to ensure that it does not coincide with other exams in the Community of Murcia and neighboring ones, so that today’s attendees can appear again.

From SATSE Murcia they consider that “it is shameful that the exam has not been verified before today and its distribution, and we support all the opponents, while we share their discomfort about what happened.”

The Nursing Union recalls that this exam was already moved to another date because it coincided with the November Community Physiotherapy OPE and, with what happened, they delayed it again, a new detriment for those interested.

“This is neither acceptable nor serious,” concludes Satse, who assures that he will be attentive to the entire process and makes himself available to those affected for any questions or queries. In fact, the Union is preparing a claim for those affected who may be interested.
