Fem Sant Andreu, the candidacy that integrates ERC, EUiA and Neighbors for Change, has reached a government agreement with En Comú Podem. Thanks to this pact, the municipal government that has broken the historical hegemony of the PSC goes from 10 to 11 councilors and will govern with an absolute majority in the municipal plenary session of Sant Andreu de la Barca.

“It is an agreement that reinforces a strong, stable government, of change, of the left and of progress”, has valued the new mayor of the town of Baix Llobregat, Marc Giribet. “In addition to this pact, we keep our hand out to all the parties that want to carry out actions for the common good of Sant Andreu de la Barca”, he added.

Giribet has signed the pact with the councilor for the commons, Isabel Marcos. “The objective is to promote social, community, environmental and economic policies to guarantee a sustainable and inclusive future to improve the quality of life of the residents of Sant Andreu de la Barca”, said the mayor of En Comú Podem.

Since the recovery of democracy, Sant Andreu de la Barca had always been governed by the PSC. But after a change in the mayoralty in the middle of the last term, in the municipal elections of May 28 Fem Sant Andreu was the force with the most votes, reaching ten councillors, four more than the PSC. This is the exception to the rule on a political map that once again turned red in Baix Llobregat.
