A new AVE stoned while passing through Tarragona

This Wednesday, a new AVE train suffered vandalism as it entered Camp de Tarragona. When the convoy was traveling at slow speed as it approached the station, it was hit with stones, breaking an exterior glass, at the height of the fifth and sixth row, ministerial sources have informed La Vanguardia.

On Tuesday, Renfe put 22 new Talgo 106 trains into circulation in Spain (Galicia, Asturias, Castilla y León, Madrid, Valencia, Murcia, Castilla la Mancha, Alicante, Barcelona and Tarragona) and in less than 24 hours one has already been a victim of the incivility.

The incident was not the only one that occurred in Catalonia during the morning. A group of people have stoned trains and blocked the track between the Mollet-Sant Fost and Granollers stations, where the Rodalies R2 Nord and R8 lines pass.
