The Civil Guard has intercepted a narco-boat in a cove in Mallorca when it was transporting more than 1,200 kilos of hashish pollen in 31 bales. It is the first time that a delivery of these characteristics has been aborted in Mallorca, although a similar boat was also intercepted in Eivissa months ago and its occupants, who had also managed to introduce the drug on the island, were arrested shortly after.

On this occasion, the Civil Guard was informed that a powerful boat from Africa was heading to Mallorca at high speed and was carrying packages that could be drugs. A police device was immediately set up and it was found that the boat was heading to one of the coves on the Mallorcan coast.

Around 4:00 a.m., the boat with two large displacement engines was detected unloading in Cala Sa Nau and it was verified that there were two all-terrain vehicles nearby, which went down to the sand to collect the bales. The crew members of the boat tried to flee out to sea when they noticed the police presence.

On the sand they left the bales of hashish, in addition to 68 bottles of gasoline and a large amount of food, all arranged with the aim of being able to move to their destination back in Africa.

In the morning, a device made up of a helicopter and a patrol boat from the Provincial Maritime Service was activated, which carried out a search by land, sea and air to try to locate the boat and its occupants. When they detected a boat with the same characteristics, a sea chase began until the boat was stranded on the beach of Cala Gran.

The occupants fled through the streets of this tourist area of Mallorca, but three people were finally arrested thanks to the device mounted on the ground by the Civil Guard.
