Civil Guard agents have arrested a man in the municipality of Taboada (Lugo) as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of sexist violence after being injured by his partner’s son. Sources have confirmed that the man was attacked by the minor, 10 years old, in the context of an alleged episode of violence against his mother.

The person under investigation was evacuated to the Regional Hospital of Monforte de Lemos to receive emergency health care, although the wound he had was superficial and, after receiving stitches, he was discharged.

As reported on Monday by police sources, the events occurred on Sunday, when the Civil Guard learned, through a 112 notice, of a “possible serious case of gender violence” at a home in Taboada.

Emergencies have explained that they received a notice from Urxencias Sanitarias 061, demanding the presence of the security forces due to an alleged altercation between a father and his son, for which the Emergency services informed the Civil Guard and the Regional Police.

The agents listened to the testimonies of everyone present and collected evidence at the scene, to try to explain what happened and determine what led the child to attack the adult.

Finally, the man was arrested for the alleged commission of a crime of mistreatment and transferred to police stations, awaiting his transfer to court.
