The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a man in Barcelona for sexually assaulting a woman with whom he had contacted through a dating page, and they work with the hypothesis that there could be more victims who have not yet filed a complaint.
As reported by the Mossos this Saturday, the 29-year-old man sexually assaulted the woman twice on July 4, after having contacted her through a dating page, and was arrested on July 13.
At first, the arrested man gained the victim’s trust so that sexual relations would be consensual, but later he was aggressive, even forcing and humiliating the woman when she no longer had her consent to continue having sex with her.
The Generalitat Police is also working on the hypothesis that there could be more women who would have been victims of the “modus operandi” used by this aggressor, but who have not yet denounced the facts.
The events occurred on July 4, when the detainee and the victim contacted through a dating page, and later addresses and telephone numbers were exchanged to continue communication.
The man made the woman believe that she was an emotionally vulnerable person to gain her trust, until he finally made an appointment with her in an intimate place to have sex.
Although at first these were consented to, later the detainee showed aggressive behavior, to the point of using violence to consummate the sexual act.
After materializing the first sexual assault, the alleged perpetrator hid the woman’s mobile phone so that she would not leave, and when she tried to retrieve it, he attacked her a second time.
