A 40-year-old man has been arrested in the Alicante town of Benidorm after his 36-year-old sentimental partner, who is hospitalized and seriously injured, jumped from a hotel balcony.
As reported by the National Police, the detainee is a British citizen, and the woman, of the same origin, is admitted to the Marina Baixa Hospital in La Vila Joiosa.
The event took place around midnight, when the woman rushed into the street from a sixth or seventh floor, the same sources have indicated.
When the agents arrived at the scene, the husband was in the hotel room and has been detained “preventively”, while possible witnesses are being testified and evidence is being collected to clarify what happened, those responsible for the investigation have pointed out.
