A man dies after falling into a bonfire in Gimenells and Pla de la Font (Lleida)

A man died this Friday night when he fell into a bonfire in the Lleida municipality of Gimenells i el Pla de la Font (Segrià). The Generalitat Fire Brigade received notice of the accident at 10:15 p.m. and sent two crews to the social premises of the municipality, where the traditional fire for the festival of Sant Joan was located.

As for other outstanding services, at quarter past ten at night, six crews responded to a notice of a house fire in Salt (Gironès) caused by a firecracker that set fire to a fiber cement roof.

Shortly before nine at night, a tent has burned in Lleida. At the time of the events there was no one inside. In Castelldans (9:45 pm) four crews fought a small forest fire, as in Sant Vicenç de Castellet (10:43 pm). And in Salou (9:35 p.m.) an electrical panel set on fire in a holiday apartment has caused the family that had had to spend the night in another place, since the house has been badly damaged.
