The Local Police of Lepe (Huelva) has arrested a man as the alleged perpetrator of the death of a 22-year-old young man of Senegalese nationality this morning in this town who, in the course of an argument, stabbed him several times, including a neck cut.

As reported this Tuesday by the 112 Emergency service and sources close to the investigation, the events began around 11:00 p.m. on Monday in a cafeteria near the town’s ring road.

The alerters to 112 reported a “violent fight” between two men, in the framework of which one of them stabbed the other several times.

The latter died during his transfer to the Virgen de la Bella hospital, as reported by the Civil Guard, whose agents from the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police have taken charge of the investigation.

The discussion began in the cafeteria, where the young Senegalese, according to sources close to the case, received a first stab wound and ran away towards a nearby urbanization.

The assailant followed him there and stabbed him a second time, after which, again, the wounded man fled; When he was next to the Fuente Vieja square, he received a third stab wound to the neck, which was the one that finally caused his death when he was transferred to the hospital.

The alleged murderer, identified by fingerprint as a person who arrived in Spain by boat in 2019, although he was carrying false documentation, was detained by the Local Police in Fuente Vieja square minutes after the attack, remaining in custody in a police car waiting for the arrival of the Civil Guard to the place.

At that moment, a group of about 50 people, friends and acquaintances of the victim surrounded the police vehicle to claim the detainee and the situation reached a point that the agents had to draw their service weapons to dissolve the group.

After the arrival of the Civil Guard agents, the detainee was transferred to police stations, where he refused to testify and is waiting to be brought before the courts.

The corpse of the young Senegalese, who lived stably with his family in Lepe, has been transferred to the Huelva Forensic Anatomical Institute where an autopsy will be performed.
