A man accepted two years in prison this Monday after admitting to having sexually assaulted a 13-year-old minor.
In any case, the man will not enter prison after having already paid compensation and with the condition of not committing another crime within four years and of attending a sexual education course.
In addition, the man will not be able to get closer than 500 meters to the victim, as well as his home or places he frequents, and will be subject to five years of supervised release.
This Monday, the Second Section of the Provincial Court held the preview of the trial against the 22-year-old young man for whom the Prosecutor’s Office initially requested ten years in prison for a continued crime of sexual abuse.
The events date back to at least the months of March and April 2021, when the accused — with full knowledge that the victim was 13 years old — attacked her on multiple occasions.
In its written conclusions, the Prosecutor’s Office considered that it was fully established that the minor freely consented to its practice and that there was no coercion on the part of the defendant.
