The flames were visible on at least ten of the floors of the building, a residential property marketed as Botanik Torre Flora by Constructora Carrilho, whose delivery was scheduled for 2026 and located in the exclusive neighborhood of Torre, in the western area of ??Recife.
The Pernambuco Fire Department reported that it sent four of its tanker trucks to the building, as well as a platform vehicle and another operations command vehicle, and that the tasks to combat the flames were also supported by a helicopter.
The residents of the building reported that much of the damage fell to a fuel supply station adjacent to the building and that they fear that a gigantic crane installed on the roof of the tower will also collapse.
