Agents of the National Police have dismantled a criminal organization, based throughout the province of Valencia, dedicated to the distribution of different narcotic substances, especially cocaine.
In the operation, 16 people have been arrested, eleven men and five women, aged between 33 and 49 years and all of Spanish origin, as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of drug trafficking and membership in a criminal organization.
The investigations, carried out by the Local Judicial Police Brigade of Sagunto (Valencia), began in May 2023, when the agents learned that a man residing in a home in the Valencian town of Gilet was dedicating himself to the distribution of drugs.
The agents’ investigations made it possible to corroborate the illicit activity, as well as confirm that lower-level distributors, mainly residents of Sagunto, went to that address, traveling there to obtain different types of narcotic substances.
All of them were part of an alleged criminal organization, whose main managers were a couple residing in the town of Albal and a man settled in the city of Valencia, reports the National Police.
In this police operation, in which units such as Canine Guides, the Police Intervention Unit (UIP), the Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR) and the Special Security Operational Group (GOES) have participated, eleven searches were carried out domiciliary.
They seized 930 grams of cocaine, 261 of marijuana and nearly 400 of hashish, as well as numerous anabolic substances, 242,880 euros, cryptocurrencies, four high-end vehicles, seven hunting shotguns and various prohibited weapons, such as taser devices, extendable defenses, boxing keys and non-approved pepper spray.
Of those arrested, six have police records and thirteen have been brought to justice, with three of them being ordered to go to prison.
