A drugged driver behind the wheel of a stolen truck wreaks havoc on the A-3 and A-7 highways

Civil Guard agents arrested on Thursday in Montserrat (Valencia) a 33-year-old man who was driving a truck that he had previously stolen in Cuenca under the influence of drugs. The chase took place along the A-3 and A-7 highways, where the truck driver, who also had an expired driving license, caused several traffic accidents, with no serious injuries.

The man had stolen the vehicle at dawn in the city of Cuenca. By checking the truck’s GPS, he could be located around 7:30 a.m. when he was driving through the province of Valencia, as reported by the armed institute.

The agents then began following the vehicle, which was traveling on the A-3 and A-7 highways. When he was stopped, the driver ignored the Civil Guard’s signals and began to drive in a “reckless” manner. During his escape, he caused several accidents, which did not cause any injuries. Finally, the truck was intercepted on the CV-405 heading towards Montserrat.

The only occupant of the vehicle, upon realizing the presence of the agents, then began to flee on foot through some orange fields adjacent to the road, until they managed to locate and arrest him.

Patrols from the Sueca, Paiporta and Traffic Company participated in the intervention and the detainee has been instructed for the crimes of reckless driving, driving under the influence of drugs, loss of validity of the driving license and attack on an authority agent. .
