The 88-year-old driver of a car died this Saturday morning in a traffic accident on Avenida Meridiana in Barcelona, ​​in the Sant Andreu district, in which two cars and a motorcycle were involved. .
The event took place at 10:05 a.m. in front of number 320 Avenida Meridiana, that is, near where this road intersects with Antilles and Olesa streets, as reported by the Barcelona City Council.
Units of the Urban Guard, the body that has taken charge of the investigation, and the Emergency Medical System (SEM) have gone to the scene. Despite being transferred to the Hospital de Sant Pau, the 88-year-old driver of one of the two cars involved in the accident has lost his life.
This is the fifth death in a traffic accident in Barcelona so far this year. The council has mourned the death and has conveyed its condolences to those close to the victim, while reaffirming its “commitment to continue working to reduce the number of victims in traffic accidents.”
