The driver of a car died this Saturday after being crushed by a large rock while traveling on the AS-114, as it passed through Peñamellera Alta. The driver’s wife and daughter were unharmed but had to be taken to a hospital after suffering a nervous breakdown.
As reported by the Civil Guard, the notice was received at 2:00 p.m. this Saturday. In it, the fall of a stone on the AS-114 highway at Km 38,500 near the town of Trescares (Peñamellera Alta) was reported.
Patrols from the Traffic Detachment of the Civil Guard of Ribadesella and Citizen Security patrol from the Carreña Post have moved to the scene. At 3:15 p.m. the ambulance doctor certified the death of the driver.
