The National Police have arrested 16 people, two of them with minor injuries, accused of participating in a massive brawl that occurred early this Sunday morning inside a train on line 10 of the Madrid Metro, at the station of fulling mill
The fight, which in principle is not being investigated as a confrontation between youth gangs, began around 06:45 when the train, in which numerous people unrelated to the brawl were traveling, was going to make a stop at the aforementioned station, they have reported to EFE police sources.
According to images recorded by various witnesses, young people of different ages and nationalities, including four minors, have begun to attack each other inside the wagons, even using their seatbelts and at least one knife, which has been seized.
When stopping in Batán, the fight has also moved to one of the platforms, which has caused several of the participants to cut train traffic by fleeing towards the tracks, where they have been intercepted by the Police. After the intervention of the Protection and Reaction Unit (UPR), the agents have managed to end the confrontation.
Two young people have been slightly injured. The first, with a knife in the back, has been transferred by the health services to the La Paz hospital, while the second, with multiple bruises, has been discharged on the spot. Both have been arrested along with 14 other people, all accused of a crime of riot.
The Judicial Police of the Latina Police Station has taken over the investigation of the event.
