The Municipal Police of Madrid have arrested a 73-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of the sexual assault committed on an 11-year-old boy, the son of a friend of his, at his home in the Ciudad Lineal district.
In events that occurred on March 30, the man allegedly took advantage of a moment when the mother was absent to touch the child, El Mundo reports and police sources have confirmed.
The victim and her mother had stayed the night before the events at the home of the arrested person, with whom the woman had a friendship and work relationship, as she worked cleaning his house.
The man allegedly took advantage of a moment when the mother had gone down to the street to run some errands to attack the minor. According to what the victim told the agents, he approached her from behind and attached his genitals to her buttocks, simulating a sexual act.
The minor managed to escape and locked himself in a bathroom of the house, from where he contacted his older sister, who in turn alerted his mother of what was happening.
The woman rushed back to the apartment and called the municipal agents, who quickly arrived at the scene, arrested the man and took statements from those affected and possible witnesses.
Psychologists from Samur-Civil Protection treated the mother and the minor, who was transferred to the Niño Jesús Hospital.
The man was placed at the disposal of the judicial authority as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of sexual assault.
