A motorcyclist died this Saturday morning in a traffic accident on the N-260 in the town of Toses (Ripollès). As reported by the Catalan Traffic Service (SCT), the fatal victim is a 48-year-old man from the town of Torrelles de Llobregat (Baix Llobregat).
For reasons that are being investigated, the injured motorist has left the road. The emergency services received the notice at 10:26 a.m. Four Mossos d’Esquadra patrols, two from the Generalitat Fire Brigade, a joint GRAE and SEM unit and an ambulance and two SEM medical helicopters have traveled to the scene of the events -kilometer 139.5. Nothing could be done to save his life.
So far this year, there are already 72 people who have lost their lives due to a traffic accident on the interurban road network of Catalonia. 25 of the fatalities have been motorcyclists.
