A 19-year-old young man lost his life this Sunday after falling onto the tracks and being run over by the subway at the Puerta de Arganda station, located in the Madrid district of Vicálvaro.
The event occurred shortly after seven in the morning on the platform of the station located on San Cipriano Street.
Upon arriving at the scene, the Samur-Civil Protection paramedics were only able to confirm the death of the young man, a Spanish national.
A group of psychologists from the Emergency Services have gone to the scene to assist the friends who were with the deceased.
The National Police has opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the event, which according to investigations carried out by the provincial Judicial Police brigade indicates that it was an accident.
According to police sources, the young man was traveling with his friends on the subway that arrived at Puerta de Arganda at 7:11 a.m. and, upon getting off, he fell through the gap between the car and the platform. .
Immediately afterwards, the subway started again and ran over the victim, who died instantly.
