HackUPC 2024, which takes place from May 3 to 5 at the Diagonal Nord Campus in Barcelona, ??is organized by students from the Barcelona Faculty of Informatics and the Barcelona Higher Technical School of Telecommunications Engineering of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
Some 750 students from all over the world gather at this event, which invites enthusiasts from the creative and technological world to develop an innovative team project that responds to technological challenges proposed by companies. In other editions, the challenges have focused on providing solutions to fight climate change or the problems of sanitation, maintenance and security in cities, as well as the creation of technological applications with social purposes, among others.
During the three days of the hackathon, the students will also participate in technological discussions with specialists from the sector and in different recreational activities. In addition, they will have the opportunity to interact with professionals from the sponsoring companies, who will contribute their products and the experience of their engineers. In this edition, the European Space Agency, IThink UPC, InterSystems, Grafana, Inditex, TravelPerk, Vueling, Seidor, GitJHub, Flanks and Bluetab collaborate.
